Sherlock Fic: Comments on a blog entry

Kinda-sorta written for Challenge 003 at great_tales .  Actually is a 221B, sort of by mistake...

9:35PM

A pedestrian little GP
Tried his best a detective to be,
But he soon would discover
When he went undercover
He still looked like a little GP.

 10:56PM
A consulting detective named Sherlock
Could find nothing to do but to mock
And his VERY LAME joking
Was so provoking
That it made the GP want to hurl rocks.

11:04PM
A blogger attempted to rhyme
And to beat out a meter in time.
His failed enterprise
Came as little surprise
Since his prose work was far from sublime.

11:10PM
Really, Sherlock? Making fun of my poetry now?

11:13PM
Really, John?   Calling that drivel poetry now? You have heard of meter, haven’t you? And did you really work on that travesty for an hour?

11:15PM
We didn’t all go to public school you know. And another thing. It wasyOUR idea for me to chat that girl up in the pub for YOUR case.

11:18PM
It was not my idea that you tell her you were an actor! But point taken. In future I will sit back and watch you make a spectacle of yourself without comment like a true friend should.

11:22PM
don’t you hvae something better tobe doing?

11:23PM
No, actually. I’m bored.  You, on the other hand, are obviously tired and cranky, and your typography is suffering.  Go to bed.

Hahaha. OH, BOYS! I love that Sherlock just decided to go and wind him up (and reel him in) with a poem for no apparent reason other than childishness. Brilliant.

Hehe! If Sherlock is nothing else, he IS childish, eh? :-)

Thanks for reviewing!

Hehe. At least it's less destructive than blowing up all John's cans of beer...

Thank you! It feels like something Sherlock would start if he were bored. At least it does to me. :-D

And I KNOW you'll find this hard to believe, but that was a late addition to the story when I had a NAILZ! situation, and thought it would be funny to keep it...

This is brilliant!! I was just thinking that John's limerick was a bit poor, and then Sherlock confirmed it! Superb!

"Comments on a blog entry": In which goldvermilion87 figures out a way to do everything badly and claim that it is for the sake of the story. :-P (After spending far longer than necessary on that firat limerick, it was very freeing to know that I didn't have to try so hard on the second...though I did have to change some lines that fell into meter nicely into awkward not-so-meter-y lines.)

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed. :-)

Ah yes, communication of the snark has come down to this non-verbal back and forth even while in the same room. Isn't technology grand?

I love that by using only their words you force us to imagine the setting.I can totally envision the body language and glances that would accompany this fic! Great job!

Yes! And it's grand for Sherlock especially. Sherlock is good at technology and good at snark. John is bad and technology and bad at snark.

Poor John.

Hehe.

I'm really glad you enjoyed this. Thanks for reviewing. :-)

This was highly amusing. I would assume Sherlock was inept at displaying sarcasm over the internet, but... this works. VERY well. *giggles* :D

Hee! Loved how quickly Sherlock produces his verse. Adorable and bratty as ever! Can picture them in the sitting room, just a few feet away from each other, typing away ...

:-) He's a brat. But he's a clever brat! :-)

Glad you enjoyed it!

Glad you enjoyed! The third is my favorite of the set as well. (Mainly because the first gave me no end of grief and the second is supposed to be atrocious...hehe...)

Thanks for reviewing!
